Pressure grows on Labour leadership to make strong climate justice commitments

Just days after the decision to block the Labour for a Green New Deal Motion from going to Conference was overturned, and as delegates gather in Brighton for the 2021 Labour Party Conference, alliances are building to pass both that motion, and the Climate Justice motion.

In a strongly worded article by MP for Norwich South, Clive Lewis, published today on Labour List, Keir Starmer is called upon to honour the pledges he has made to internationalise the Green New Deal and make it a cornerstone of Labour policy. And Lewis calls on all delegates to give their support to both motions, which he sees as complementary.
