Decarbonising by 2030 is necessary, possible and would benefit workers! By investing just under 2 percent of GDP a year, the UK could achieve a 77 percent drop in carbon emissions by 2030.
The net benefit would be £800 billion, and 850,000 new jobs would be created in the process. Energy prices would fall, and increased economic prosperity would cause wages to increase across the economy.
